Restaurant Review - Chutneys

Chutneys- A vegetarians paradise.., Yes., this too is one of my favorite restaurant. But a warning before hand.., better reserve your table if you plan a visit.., or., try peculiar timings.., like 11 in the morning or maybe 4 in the evening.., cause you would end up waiting forever.. And the mouth watering smells throughout the restaurant would make you real hungry., or worse., real angry!! Yeah., i'm telling you all this caused I have experienced it., and i still can't forget the day.., But now., things are different., Seating at a popular restaurant is never a problem when you are buddies with the inside people ;) ;) ;)

So.., I frequent Chutneys very often. I am a regular at all the three (if I am not wrong) outlets in the city. The food is a sheer joy. When at Chutneys, I ONLY try out the South Indian cuisine.., I would never get tired of eating the "Guntur Idly" , the "Steamed Dosa", the Mango Utthappam" and the "Paper Dosa".., there are many more on my list.., but these are my absolute favorites.., No no, wait a minute. All the above mentioned are nothing compared to the "Sambar" served out here.., I can drink n-number of buckets of the very yummy and very 'thick" sambar.., Its to die for.., Really.., :D.., and believe it not not, there is a dosa which is called Chiranjeevi Dosa(named after the telugu actor) :D :D :D So I would love to recommend this restaurant of all my buddies.. :D i know most of them would have checked it out.., but I was rather hoping that all of you would.., should you get a chance.., after all a vegetarian meal is purely a guilt free meal ;)

Chutneys serve North Indian and Chinese cuisine too.., but I have always stuck to South Indian whenever I've been there., And haaa, there is or rather there was A Buffet Chutneys which has unfortunately shut down for renovation., And as I said earlier Chutneys is located at 3 Prime areas in Hyderabad. One at Punjagutta, one at Himayatnagar and the third one at Jubilee Hills.

A meal for two can cost anywhere between 500-600 rupees
The buffet costs (used to cost) around 175 rupees plus taxes
And I would definitely keep visiting for the yummy Sambar and the hot Guntur idly served with loads of ghee and about 5 different CHUTNEYS.. :D

Bandi Food Review - Tibbs Frankie..

Bandi food/roadside food.., now who doesn't like it?? Just the thought of it makes the mouth go slurppppp!!! Hyderabad is the Hub for street food lovers. No- I am not bragging. But you will find all genres of food in the city. Yeah different genres of Bandi food. :D., Right from the spicy Phuchkas/Pani puri's to mouth watering Hot dogs.., from the tangy Bhel to the mini Idly's..,the Soda pops, the Corn on the cobs, the hot Jalebis, the enormous Sundaes.., everything is just Wow!!! And taking about street food, how can one not talk about the very delicious and the very scrumptious "
Frankie"..,

Chocolate.., they say is the comfort food for many people.., but I'd like to differ.., Whenever I feel low.., or whenever I am bored to death.., I quickly drive to the nearest Frankie point (the nearest one is at Food World,Jubilee Hills., near Peddamma Temple) and grab a bite.. , I say.., it is to die for.., :D.., There are many varieties to choose from.., but my favorite one is the simple Veggie one.., with extra Chilly Vinegar and onions., minus the cheese.., Awww my mouth has started watering all over again.., One can try out the Paneer Tikka Frankie also.., For the non vegetarians, there is the Chicken Tikka Frankie, Spicy Chicken Frankie etc. But as i said earlier.., my favorite one is the "Veg Frankie".., Do take some time off to grab a piece of heaven.. Literally!!

Location : These Tibbs Bandis are found in almost all the popular Malls. Apart from the malls, there is a Bandi @ Eat Street, a bandi @ Jubilee Hills as I told you earlier, a one at Himayatnagar, etc..

Restaurant Review - Moksh

I love cooking..., and I guess i already must have mentioned it a hundred times in my recent posts.. :).., but yeah., I love eating out, trying different cuisines, visiting different restaurants.., :) and yeah i do have my favorites.. Today, I'd review one of them...

Moksh - @ Necklace road, Hyderabad

The best part about Moksh.., apart from the lovely food and the even lovelier ambience I'd guess is the long drive upto the place.. :D.., The location is perfect.., absolutely perfect.. adjourning the lake, away from the city traffic.., Its the best weekend getaway.., :)

I zimply love the candlelit buffet at the roof garden.. The atmosphere and the ambience are to be seen to be believed.., The buffet menu is mostly North Indian.., and as they have barbeque., I'd guess they chose the perfect cuisine.., theres not much for the vegetarians though.., apart from the usual Paneer and Hara kababs.., I don't find much of a variety for vegetarians.., But yeah.., I love the Pineapple tikka which they serve.., its a must try for everybody.., The non vegetarians have a blast out here in Moksh.., The Grilled fish with olive oil is awesome.., there are Patther ke kababs and the regular Sheek kababs.., The Dum ki biryani is also a must try.., the flavors are subtle.., but thats the best part as one gets a taste of each and every spice that goes into the food.., I also love the Kubani ka Meetha which they serve.., I always tend to overeat whenever I visit Moksh.. :)

Just in case I forget.., the Ala Carte is also good.., it is a multi cuisine restaurant so there is a lot of variety.., I recommend you stick to the Indian cuisine cause I guess Moksh has a very good Tandoor and it specializes in indian cuisine.. :)

A meal for two can cost about 1500-1800 rupees
The Buffet costs 599 rupees excluding Tax
I would definitely come back here for the Mocktails, the Pineapple Tikka, The Grilled fish and the subtle Dum biryani..

My Ratings for Moksh : ( I'm using hearts instead of stars :) )

And on a rating of 5..,
